The Art of Stacking Frames

Stacking frames can add interest and personality.  Sometimes two frames are better than one. The most common “stacks” are a nested stack and a vertical stack.

Nested Stack: The inner frame sits under the lip of the outer frame drawing the eye inward towards the art.

Vertical Stack: The inner frame sits directly on top of the outer frame raising the art up and creating a focal point.
